Lesson 11: Homecoming - Be Around Good Spirits
Whatever you do in life, surround yourself with smart people who will argue with you. – John Wooden
October represents the season of homecoming, being around good spirits is congruent with this theme. Whether you are returning to your hometown or establishing yourself somewhere new, make it a priority to involve yourself with optimistic, good spirited people. It’s a new chapter in your life, and with that comes new issues. These issues are not being experienced only by you, some of the best solutions can be found through synergy with your friends. Surround yourself with people who speak beauty of the past and see great days ahead of themselves. Do not show disdain for individuals who are going through tough times, you are likely to find yourself in a tough situation someday. Instead, try your hardest to lift them up for then they will appreciate the benefits of this lesson too.
- Be a blessing to at least one person each day.
- Spend less time around people who see the glass as “half-empty"
- Reach out to people , you never know who needs it.
